MAKAN : Zam Zam Seksyen 9 Shah Alam .

Actually this was so long ago , I think about two months already . I dont have the time to edit the photo as well as to upload them and write a review about it not because it is not that delicious but it wasnt my all time favourite .

However , Zam Zam is a house of delicious Arab cuisine . They serve almost everything , from chicken, to seafood with different style of cooking . You name it . One of the must try when you're going for Arab food is the Chicken Mandy .

This is the Chicken Mandy (RM18) , the portion is quite big . It could serve two while big eaters will be satisfied with the portion . However , the Chicken Mandy that we got that day was not hot , so it didnt really wake our senses . Didn't smell that nice pun . But the taste didn't dissapoint us that much , I would give it 3.5 stars out of 5 . This was mom's .

Then we moved on to my pick of the night Shish Tawook . It is basically a cubes of chicken , skewered and grilled to perfection .

This is my Shish Tawook / Shish Kebab (RM25). You can either have it with rice or with bread ( the price may be different if you took bread instead of rice ) , since  I was pretty hungry that day , I go for rice . It is served with fries, tomato puree and their original Arabian yogurt which taste totally different than the normal yogurt that we bought from the hypermarket . What makes the yogurt so special is it is very very thick , the texture is very smooth . At first I was shocked as I've never ate chicken , rice with yogurt . It's bizarre . Well , the taste was amazing . It blew me off . I was happy fat kid who gets a box of choco . The chicken is so tender , but again , the dishes is not as hot as I expected . The rice is fantastic.

While my sister is up for something without rice , so she ordered a lamb kebab or KhashKhash Kebab .

This is the most normal kebab ever . The meat is very tender and juicy . Very mouth watering , swallow your saliva puhlease . The lamb kebab is served with Arab bread , fries , tomato puree and as well as the Arabian yogurt . This delicious meal cost RM20. What I like about the KhashKhash Kebab is that the lamb doesn't have any smell and it goes very well with the yogurt .

On that night , we ordered the special Arab Mint Tea . Arab Mint Tea is a little bitter , it is not thick but slightly bitter , you might want to add a lot of sugar . I myself don't like my tea to be bitter . However , the tea is very very refreshing , the scent of the mint refreshes your mind , very soothing . I really like my tea with mint . If I'm not mistaken , you can choose either to order a pot of tea or a cup , but a pot of tea would cost you RM8.   A pot of the Arab Mint Tea can get around 10 small glass .

This is how it looks like , a normal tea pot , and a cute mini cup . It's good to drink this sometimes , but since I'm a heavy drinker , means I drink a lot . We ordered another drink . It is something like the famous Barbican , but what makes it different is the brand , and the taste .

This one is Hillsburg (RM3.50) if Im not mistaken . I prefer Barbican rather than Hillsburg , why ? Because Hillsburg is too gassy . There are several kinds of drinks you can choose , from pure juices to Arabian carbonated drinks .

Before I forgot , as for the starter/appertizer , we ordered Shakshouka .

Shakshouka costs around RM10 . It is a combination of scrambled eggs , tomatoes and onions . It's a little sweet , because of the tomatoes and onions . It's definitely not one of my favourite as I'm not a vegetable eater . But its totally something new .

The best part of Arabian cuisine ..... The dessert ! Yes the dessert ! Plenty of dessert to choose from , but my all time favourite is Baklava :) Smilling from ear to ear .

This is how Baklava looks like .

Okayy Baklava is a sweet pastry made of layers of filo pastry filled with loads and loads of chopped nuts and sweetened with syrup and sometimes honey . Normally , pistachio is used to make the Baklava . It is RM2 each .

And this is Basbousa . It is semolina cake soaked in syrup which contains rose water . It's veryyyyyyyyyy sweeeeet and have strong scent of rose . Not my favourite because it is too sweet , and the strong scent of rose . Nice try though .

I couldn't remember how much we spent on that night , we also bought home some Baklava  :) Overall the food taste fine , as well as the presentation of the food. I think Saba Restaurant's food are much better than Zam Zam , so I think I'll just stick to Saba Restaurant . Saba Restaurant have two branches , one is in Setiawangsa and another one is in Cyberjaya .

My sister doesnt like this Damansara Bandar Utama area . Heavy traffic and its pretty hard to get parking spot . So , my friends took me there , to Ikea @ Ikano , you know to say hi and exchange greetings with fella meatballs . I had so many kind of meatballs from so many places , but the one in Ikea is one of my favourite . Wait not only MY favourite , it's everybody's FAVOURITE . LOL

I dont want to mention about how it taste because I might over do it . And and then , the four of us , Fyqa Zara & Linda and ofcourse , I myself lined up to pick up our food . This is the best part , because I dont know what to take . I thought it would cost a lot , but it didn't seriously . We paid for one Seafood Pasta @ The Loaf , but what we actually get was 15 MEATBALLS , 1 plate of vegetarian pasta , 2 plate of chicken leg and herb sauce with two boiled potatoes on each plate , 4 cups of coffee , 1 plate of Almondy Daim Cake , 2 chicken wings . Isn't it amazing ? Truly amazing . Am so kampung T_T Malu kejap .

MAKAN ; The Loaf Pavilion on a friday night .

this post is so long ago . few weeks ago . now only finish blogging about it

I went to the loaf last friday . I was the baby of the night "PERASAN" . Im the youngest so Im the baby lah .
I wanted to follow my sister night out with her friends , because I havent try The Loaf at Pavilion yet. Actually never tried before . Tried the bread before . Expensive but worth it .

This is the photo of the food court . Tried the foodcourt before . Everything is yummy . There's this one stall at the food court , they specialise on Korean food . And they are delish !

This is the sticky shop . Everything is sticky over here , so dont come near . Im warning you , dont come near ! LOL Im loving this shop a lot . The first time I saw some cute guy making custome made hand made blah blahh candy was few years back . Around 2005 kot , during my trip to Melbourne . They pull , cut , mould as hard as they could . So cute . I dont know if it's the same shop or what . But it is 99% the same . The candy , the jar , the concept of  " mari cik bedah tengok saya buat candy for yr sweet tooth " , almost the same . That is how they attract people . Because ye lah , who ever buat gula gula in front of everybody . LIVE show , starring cute guys . Tapi kat Pavilion ini pekerja dia ramai perempuan . URGGHHH . *tired eyes*

He's moulding , chopping and bla bla . See , the Tall chinese guy , he seems to be amazed by this guy's talent . He's not talented , its not a special gift mister . He'd been taught how to do it -.-'

This is the promotion item . Cute looking jar for the festive season . I think this only last for a month .

This is the normal jar , the difference is this one doesnt have bunny on top of the jar .
Thats all. It comes in few different flavours and colours . Awesome weh . And and in the middle of the candy, there's some kind of pattern you know . Some shows the fruit . You can make your own candy , nt that I mean you can go and mould , shape bla bla . But you can choose your own flavour and design .

Hello THE LOAF . The interior design is EXCLUSIVEEEEEEE ! The lighting , the service , everything is perfect . There's a large mirror at the end of the restaurant . There's curtain , to separate your table with the other behind your table . I mean my table . Very comfy chair . The seats are suitable for lounging and eating , and chatting . It's very cool , seriously .

Kak Fatin and I

Have I mention that The Loaf, Pavilion is a two storey restaurant . Upstairs is for dining . While down stairs is more to chilling at the open air area . The breads are downstairs , indoor . You can grab them and bring them up , they will put them in the bill . This is the view of downstairs from mid-stairs .

This is one of the new creation . 50% discount is given to every new creation in store.

It's extremely creamy , but the nice kind of creamy .

This is the Black Ink something something . This is fabulous too .

This is mine ! Meatballs Pasta , heaven . The aroma of the meat is something you cant describe . The taste of the tender beef is uurrgghhh I just cant describe it .

After the happy eating session . We asked for bills as we need to rush a little for movie .
See for yourself . A bit shock , but something to be expected . It is then equally divided by SIX . So it doesnt cost much really . And this includes some bread and pastry we took from downstairs .

A photo outside The Loaf .

I really enjoy every moment I spent at The Loaf . The interior is great , the service is superb , the food is beyond my vocab , everything seems perfect in The Loaf . I'd like to share about the price . Most of the pasta cost around Rm24-RM26 . Except for this one pasta which is the seafood pasta , it cost about RM55 , loads of seafood I tell you . And you'll get a complimentary bread , comes together with butter . Please take note that the menu are different according to the time of your visit . They have different menu in the morning , afternoon , tea time and dinner .

* * * * * * * * = 8/10 stars .
